Our Learning Management System is available in a free version and thus represents an interesting alternative to other, costly LMS solutions. From the license version “Subscription” of the NAuthor Suite, it comes as a free extra and offers a professional yet easy to use interface for the administration of users and user groups as well as the evaluation of tests and results.
You can create user groups and govern users as students, instructors, managers or administrators.
You can ascribe learning material to the users, from PDF or DOC documents to multi-media WBT courses or tests.
Every user with a trainee/student role can call the learning material ascribed from the LMS interface, and the LMS governs the usage data of the respective material.
If you have the required rights in the system, you can call usage or learning progress reports. The results displayed in the reports can be exported to other software such as Excel, and you can thus create graphs from the data or use it as required.
The LMS is expandable and you can add more functions such as group governing, qualification governing, Curriculum creation, and Offline LMS creation etc. at any time.
Group governing expansion
allows independent administration of an organisation tree. Users can be ascribed to groups within the tree. The learning materials can also be ascribed directly through the tree.
Rights management expansion
In addition to the fixed rights and roles of student, instructor, manager and administrator, single user rights can be combined and thus new roles be created. These new roles can then be used in the organisation tree and inherit their functions to the users in the nodes.
Qualification governing
allows the creation of learning aims with the required learning material and an appropriate certificate on the completion of the material.
Learning curriculum/Syllabus governing
allows freely defined sequences (serial or parallel) of learning contents. Learning units can be created and logically connected at will. (E.g. the student can only advance to the next course once a certain percentage has been achieved for a test or a certain number of courses have been completed.) Parallel education or corrective training on failure can be arranged.
OFFLINE LMS
Being the first on the market to introduce this feature, NAuthor can provide learning content, rules and progress data for any amount of time from the LMS Server for offline usage, without connection to the main LMS.
The files can be transferred to any computer via a memory stick or any other portable directory and then be used with the OFFLINE LMS system.
All results are stored in the OFFLINE LMS data pool (LMS) and can later be imported back into the main LMS. All learning data stored on the portable device is encrypted and can thus safely be transferred back and forth between the systems.
